If this is a small part of something bigger, and there is a lot of interest, a publisher won’t mind having the material out there. But I think your caution is warranted—in the sense that you don’t want to reveal too much too soon. Having said that, perhaps the struggle you are sensing is how to promote your writing, how to build a platform, and how to get published. Here’s my thought on that. Fear will guide you to safe places that limit you. Fear holds you back. It makes you focus on yourself and all the bad things that can happen. So what if this flash fiction you’ve discovered helps someone who reads it? Your fear is that a publisher won’t be interested if it’s “out there.” But what if getting it in front of others is the very thing that propels you? Gives you momentum? What if it puts you on a different trajectory—pushes you toward another idea that morphs and changes your writing? I would move toward that—say no to fear and embrace the possibility of what might happen. If God is in it, nothing can hold you back.
